आज दिनांक 05 जुलाई 2022 को उपमंडल पावटा साहिब की गिरिपार अनुसूचित अधिकार संरक्षण समिति की आम बैठक पावटा साहिब में सम्पन्न हुई। इस बैठक में गरार को न दर्जा मिलन से अनुसूचित जाति के लोगों के अधिकारों पर पड़ने वाले प्रभाव को कर हुई
इस सभा में सर्वसमति से ये फैसला लिया गया कि यदि ये क्षेत्र जनजातीय क्षेत्र घोषित होता है तो अनुसूचित जाति लोगों को उससे कोई आपत्ति नहीं परन्तु उससे पहले सरकार को इस क्षेत्र में जातीय विषमता से अनुसूचित जाति के लोगों को बचाने के लिए बने एस सी / एसटी एट्रोसिटी कानून 1989 में संशोधन करना होगा क्योंकि इस क्षेत्र के जनजातीय घोषित होते ही ये कानून निष्क्रिय हो जायगा और • उससे जाति आधारित शोषण बढ़ आयगा दूसरा सरकार को पंचायती राज संस्थाओं से से कर एम. एल. तक अनुसूचित वर्ग के लोगों के लिए संवैधानिक प्रावधानों को सुरक्षित रखने की गारंटी देनी होगी। बैठक में ये भी तय हुआ जल्दी ही जिला स्तर पर गिरिपार अनुसूचित जाति अधिकार संरक्षण समिति की एक आम बैठक होंगी जिसमें आरक्षित सीट से आने वाले विधायक एवं सांसद को बुलाकर उनसे अनुसूचित वर्ग के प्रति उनके विचारों को जाना जायगा। अगर में प्रतिनिधि आरक्षित सीट से चुनाव लड़ने के बाद भी आरक्षित वर्ग के अधिकारों के लिए मुंह नहीं खोल सकते तो आगामी आने वाले चुनाव मैं किस तरह से क्या करना है इस पर रणनीति बनाई जायगी और गिरिपार अनुसूचित जाति अधिकार संरक्षण समिति किसी भी सूरत में अनुसूचित जाति के अधिकारों का हनन स्वीकार नहीं करेगी।
