भूतपूर्व सैनिक संगठन पांवटा साहिब व शिलाई क्षेत्र द्वारा मंगलवार 26 जूलाई को दिव्य और भव्य तरीके से कारगिल विजय दिवस का आयोजन किया जाएगा। इस बार का कारगिल विजय दिवस इसलिए अलग है कि लंबे अंतराल व संघर्ष के बाद पांवटा साहिब के मिनी सेक्ट्रिएट व किसान भवन के नजदीक शहीद स्मारक का निर्माण कार्य संपन्न हुआ है।
इसमें मुख्य तौर पर स्मारक के अनावरण के मुख्य अतिथि सुखराम चौधरी, बहुउद्देशीय परियोजनाएं एवं ऊर्जा मंत्री हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार, कारगिल विजय दिवस समारोह के मुख्य अतिथि सुरेश कश्यप, सांसद शिमला संसदीय क्षेत्र एवं विशेष अतिथि के तौर पर बलदेव तोमर, पूर्व विधायक शिलाई व उपाध्यक्ष खाद्य आपूर्ति निगम हिमाचल प्रदेश शिरकत करेंगे।
साथ ही क्षेत्र की वीरनारियां, पूर्वसेनिक, सेनिक व आश्रित परिवार सहित एवं मीडिया के संमानित सदस्य शिरकत करेंगें।
सनंद रहे की शहीद स्मारक का निर्माण ऊर्जा मंत्री सुखराम चौधरी के कर कमलों द्वारा संपन्न हुआ। शहीद स्मारक में पांवटा साहिब और शिलाई क्षेत्र के अमर शहीदों की स्मृतियों को चिन्हित किया गया है।
बताते चलें कि भूतपूर्व सैनिक संगठन पांवटा साहिब व शिलाई क्षेत्र कई वर्षों से वीरनारियों और भूतपूर्व सैनिकों से संबंधित समस्याओं के निवारण हेतु हमेशा तत्पर रहा है। संगठन ने वीरनारियों की समस्या हो या पेंशन से संबंधित समस्या हो तथा शहीद स्मारक के देखरेख का कार्य हो या संयुक्त शहीद स्मारक का निर्माण हो तथा सीएसडी, ईसीएचएस, केंद्रीय विद्यालय आदि खोलने का प्रयास हो चाहे अन्य स्थानीय कोई समस्या हो हमेशा संगठन ने श्रेष्ठ व अग्रणी भूमिका निभाकर क्षेत्र के भूतपूर्व सैनिकों को यहीं पर संबंधित सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराने व सम्मान देने का प्रयास किया है।
संगठन के उपाध्यक्ष नरेन्द्र सिंह ठुंडू ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि संगठन ने लंबे जद्दोजहद के बाद अपने ड्रीम प्रोजेक्ट शहीद स्मारक का कार्य पूर्ण करवाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है। संगठन कोरोना महामारी के लंबे अंतराल के बाद इस वर्ष कारगिल विजय दिवस समारोह का आयोजन कर रहा है। इसमें मुख्यतः शहीद स्मारक का अनावरण, श्रधांजलि, ध्वजारोहण एवं कारगिल विजय दिवस कार्यक्रम में मुख्यतः स्कूली बच्चों का कार्यक्रम, भाषण प्रतियोगिता, अतिथियों के साथ साथ क्षेत्र की सभी वीरनारियों का सम्मान शामिल रहेगा।
संगठन के पूर्व अध्यक्ष और शहीद स्मारक निर्माण कमेटी के अध्यक्ष विरेंद्र चौहान ने बताया कि शहीद स्मारक के माध्यम से युवा इन रियल हीरो से प्रभावित होकर देशहित तथा राष्ट्रहित में अपने आप को जुड़ा हुआ महसूस समझते है और युवा पीढ़ी में भी देश के लिए प्राण न्योछावर करने की सोच जागृत होती है।
संगठन के वर्तमान अध्यक्ष करनैल सिंह ने मीडिया के माध्यम से सभी से आह्वान किया कि यह समारोह समूचे देश का गौरव बढ़ाने वाला है इसलिए क्षेत्र के सभी सम्मानित लोग इसमें बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लेना चहिये। उन्होंने कहा कि पूरा देश क्षेत्र के इन वीर सैनिकों के बलिदान के लिए हमेशा ऋणी रहेगा। यह, हम और आप, सभी की तरफ से शहीद जवानों को सच्ची श्रद्धांजली और शहीद परिवारों व वीर नारियों को सच्चा सम्मान है। वीर सैनिकों द्वारा ऑपरेशन कारगिल विजय मे भारत माता की सीमाओं की रक्षा के लिए दिए गए उनके सर्वोच्च बलिदान को देश हमेशा याद रखेगा।
